We were recommended to Berbena by a friend and it did not disappoint! If you can make a reservation as seating is limited. We showed up early for the lunch seating to get on the waitlist and luckily a party had to cancel. As the restaurant doesn’t hold many people it creates a very intimate atmosphere. We loved the open kitchen and seeing the food prep. The staff were lovely! They were so personable and really took interest and invested in each party. Anything we were unsure about they were there with a stellar recommendation. Now to the food 🤤 EVERYTHING we ate was PHENOMENAL! I think we sampled the entire menu and there wasn’t one thing we didn’t like. Every bite was *chefs kiss*! The flavors, the portions, even the timing of the dishes were top notch. We can’t say enough about how truly amazing this restaurant is from top to bottom in every aspect. We will definitely be back!

Truly excellent food, wine, and service. Everything we ate was perfectly paired and an excellent balance of flavors. The bread with sides is well worth it. We found the tapioca appetizer to be the most underwhelming of everything we ordered, but the texture was really nice. The beets were particularly tasty, as were the beef cheeks. Definitely don’t miss the gyoza! The squid was so fresh and perfectly prepared. Their recommended number of dishes was great, perhaps a little bit more than we needed but we devoured all of it.

This review is long overdue. We visited Barcelona in September of 2022. Berbena was a restaurant that I made reservations for months in advance, It's a very intimate restaurant, seating very few. The reviews were fantastic, and we were so excited to have the privilege to dine at Berbena. Chef Carles greeted us kindly upon entering his restaurant. From the moment we were seated until the moment we left, we enjoyed ourselves. The food was so delicious. The ingredients combined just made me want to shut my eyes and enjoy every bite. The service and staff made us feel like special guests. Spain was a trip of a lifetime, and Berbena will always be part of that magical experience.

I expected more from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Upon entering, the waiter gave us a menu. I am not a specialist and did not know what some of the dishes were. Unfortunately, the answers were not clear. After placing our order, the waiter asked "Do you guys want to be hungry?". I asked why, he replied that the portions were very small and we should order more. This surprised me, it looked like a stretch for money in a poor restaurant. I ordered a few more things and only after a while did the chef show up who recommended to modify the order and said about the possibility to order half portions. I don't understand why the waiter couldn't have told me about this earlier. The food was good, but I was not surprised by the taste. It tasted good, as in any restaurant with more than 4 Google stars. The restaurant is atmospheric and well located, but I lacked the professional service to give 5 stars. I have been better served in restaurants without Michelin stars in Barcelona

This is my favourite restaurant in Barcelona. You feel like family from the minute you arrive. The interior design is a beautiful mix of soul and clean modern lines that make you feel comfortable, great music, a wine list that needs to be explored and an ever changing menu that leaves you happy, satisfied and planning your next visit. An incredible mix of flavours and textures using local seasonal ingredients, beautifully presented! The selection of cheeses is outstanding and the bread which is made in house is delicious. Don't miss the desserts! Make sure you book!

Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. Everything was on point. Some dishes I liked more than others, but truly everything was great. From the smoked butter to the duck to the ice cream with olive oil and salt. Service was excellent, friendly, and unpretentious. We felt special and well taken care of. Thank you! Would love to come back again some day and try more from this kitchen.

This place is soooo good. Food first. Exemplary delicious food with a modern twist - absolutely irresistanble. Communal atmosphere with open kitchen gives an extremely relaxed but buzzing environment. We were lucky to get a table last minute at 7:45pm. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly .... I will and want to come again. Thank you.

Excellent experience overall. Very interesting concept where you get the chef cooking and serving at the same time. We got excellent wine recommendations and the food was just unreal. Not very easy reservation to get, so plan well ahead.
